Since 1787 this great nation has honored and lived under the Constitution of the United States which is the supreme law of the land. And for over for over 167 years, this supreme law allowed the Citizens of this great Nation to decide who shall be elected as President of this great nation without any term limits.

It wasn’t until President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to his unprecedented fourth term as President in 1944 that the politicians in Congress decided to amend the constitution putting term limits on the office of the President under the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution which was ratified in 1951. Isn’t it odd that terms limits are restricted to the Executive Brand and some agencies, but there are absolutely no term limits for federal Judicial appointments or the U. S. Congress and these life-long politicians?

TERM LIMITS FOR PRESIDENT, BUT NO TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESS

So these old Congressional politicians continue to remain in power for years and years without term limits; but the President of the United States is limited to 8 years of service, because Congress decided that after 167 years, the Citizens of this Country were not intelligent enough to decide how many years a President should remain in office. The scales of justice are severely unbalanced and this is something that Americans must insist on the REPEAL of the UN-Constitutional 22nd AMENDMENT that eliminates the right of the Citizens of the United States to a free and fair election of its government officials.

For many years, several Presidents have found that limiting the terms of office for the Presidency is unconstitutional and infringes on the democratic rights of Americans and should be repealed. Over the years, opposition to the 22nd Amendment has been expressed by: President Harry Truman, who described the amendment as one of the worst amendments of the Constitution; President Ronald Reagan, who said he would push for a repeal; and President Bill Clinton; as well as many others including Representatives José E. Serrano, Barney Frank and David Dreier, and Senators Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid. The first effort to repeal the 22nd Amendment was in 1956, followed by 54 joint resolutions over the next 50 years from 1997 to 2013.

Due to the severe decline of our Nation under the Biden administration, many Americans are concerned and want the 22nd Amendment repealed so that President Trump will have enough time in office to eliminate the corruption within our government and return America to the great nation it once was.

In a press release on www.ogles.house.gov on January 23, 2025 the following was stated:

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Andy Ogles introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the Constitution of the United States to allow a President to be elected for up to but no more than three terms. The language of the proposed amendment reads as follows:

‘‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’

"President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years. He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal. To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms. This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs," said Congressman Ogles.

“It is imperative that we provide President Trump with every resource necessary to correct the disastrous course set by the Biden administration. President Trump has shown time and time again that his loyalty lies with the American people and our great nation above all else. He is dedicated to restoring the republic and saving our country, and we, as legislators and as states, must do everything in our power to support him.”
