Powell Refuses To Lower Interest Rates - Costing Americans Thousands

How can one man be in charge of lowering Federal Interest Rates for the entire country? Unbelievable isn’t it. Well that’s exactly what’s happening with Jerome Powell, the U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman who continues to refuse President Trump’s requests to substantially lower interest rates for the American people and to help boost the economy. Even though Powell has stated he would never let politics influence his decisions that is exactly what he’s doing because of his dislike for President Trump. He continues to spew ridiculous scenarios about keeping the interest rates high to “steady” inflation, even though all recent reports on the economy during President Trump’s first 5 months in office, clearly indicate inflation is down and continuing to go down due to the direct economic policies of President Trump and his Administration.

At the recent NATO summit, President Trump responded to reporters stating that [Powell] “goes out pretty soon, fortunately, because I think he’s terrible.”

On Friday, June 27, 2025, President Trump said “I’d love him to resign if he wanted to, he’s done a lousy job” and referring to Powel as “stupid”.

In a recent press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt presented a chart showing the low interest rates of Countries around the world. “If you look at this chart, all of the interest rates of many countries throughout the world and the UAE are all paying lower interest rates than the United States of America, which has one of the hottest and strongest economies in the world” said Leavitt.

President Trump wants interest rates to be cut to 1% but Powell refuses to budge in direct opposition to the market indications and the President’s requests. It is clear by the mandate of the American voters who elected President Trump that among other things the American people want to bring back the flourishing economy we had under President Trump’s first term in office.

Unfortunately, like anyone else who has ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’, no matter what’s best for the Country, the person responsible for these high interest rates, Fed Chair Jerome Powell is going to do everything in his power to oppose anything President Trump requests. This idiotic man thinks he is a financial wizard and he knows what’s best for the Country, not considering the amazing financial wins and reductions in inflation President Trump has already accomplished in 5 short months being back in office and faced with the disastrous Biden/Harris economy.

In a recent Truth Social media post President Trump addressed Powell’s refusal to lower interest rates stating, “ “Too Late” Jerome Powell, of the Fed, will be in Congress today in order to explain, among other things, why he is refusing to lower the Rate. Europe has had 10 cuts, we have had ZERO. No inflation, great economy - We should be at least two to three points lower. Would save the USA 800 Billion Dollars Per Year, plus. What a difference this would make. If things later change to the negative, increase the Rate. I hope Congress really works this very dumb, hardheaded person, over. We will be paying for his incompetence for many years to come. THE BOARD SHOULD ACTIVATE. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Jerome Powell is just another egotistical socialist democrat who would rather fight against President Trump that do what is best for American citizens. He would do well to listen to a wise and savvy businessman like our President. Thank God Powell is OUT in May 2026 when his term if office expires! Good riddance!
