Leo Terrell

Leo Terrell is an American Conservative Civil Rights Attorney, Journalist, Author, Multi-Media Host and Contributor. Leo James Terrell was born February 1, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA and raised by his two loving parents. Leo attended Gardena High School in Los Angeles, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University. Furthering his education, Leo also earned a Masters Degree in Education from Pepperdine University and a Juris Doctor Degree from UCLA School of Law. Leo taught High School History, Geography and Economics at Gage Middle School in Huntington Park, CA., and on December 4, 1990, became a member of the California Bar.

Leo Terrell has a distinguished Legal Career, with many Civil Rights Cases to his credit, and began his media broadcasting career in 1996, Co-Hosting the Terrell and Katz Radio program on KMPC in Los Angeles, which moved to weekends on KABC, where he hosted until 2010. Leo was also a Legal Analyst and Contributing Host on a variety of programs: Nightline, Larry King Live, Hannity and Colmes, The O’Reilly Factor, Today, America’s Newsroom, and Fox and Friends First.

In 1998, Leo Terrell released his book ‘KNOW YOUR RIGHTS AT THE WORKPLACE – The Things Your Boss Won’t Tell You’. Leo was also a member of the Statewide Commission Against Hate Crimes, and became an Advisory Board Member for the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). Leo Terrell is currently a regular guest, host and contributor, on some of Fox News’ most watch programs such as: Hannity, Justice With Judge Jeanine, The Dan Bongino Show and more. In 2021, Leo once again began hosting on KABC Radio, with his new show called ‘LEO 2.0’ at 5pm and contributed to The Big Saturday Show.

Leo Terrell was a lifelong Democrat, who became dismayed and disgusted with the Democrat party, announcing on the Fox News ‘Hannity’ program on July 17, 2020, that he would be supporting Donald Trump for President, stating: “This will be the first time in my life, Sean Hannity viewers, that I will be voting Republican.” Larry Elder, who was also a guest on the ‘Hannity’ show that evening with Leo, admiringly dubbed his friend and colleague as ‘LEO 2.0’. During the segment, Leo repeated his message telling Hannity, “If you didn’t hear it, I’m voting for Trump.” Leo Terrell also announced on Twitter, “I’m the same Leo, but the Democrat Party left me & I did not sign up for their socialist agenda.”

In an interview with the Daily Caller, it was reported that Leo Terrell explained his reasons for leaving the Democrat party and questioning his values, stating, “The Democratic Party in 2020 is as follows: it’s been hijacked by Black Lives Matter and that’s why I’ve shifted away from the Democratic Party. Two major reasons: One, Joe Biden made the assumption that if you’re not black, that if you’re black you have to vote Democrat. I find that insulting and offensive to every African American because we don’t vote as one group. Secondly, defunding the police is absolutely ridiculous. Democrats believe in law and order. Those are two major reasons I left the Democratic Party.”
